The level of editing determines the number of pages per hour that I can reasonably expect to process. Copyediting takes less time than substantive editing.

To determine the total number of pages to be edited, one manuscript “page” is considered to be 250 words.

Pricing is based on my hourly rate for the type of editing plus the number of hours I expect the project to take.

I will provide a written price estimate, and I may ask for a sample of the project before I start editing to ensure that my estimate is accurate.
